What Does Being Black Feel Like by Brian White

If I were to think about being black feels like I would say it’s proud. From the impacts that black minds have on our everyday culture to the constant achievements made everyday to even the tenacity to handle the adversity we face. It’s like being in an exclusive club that you know everyone wants to be apart. Every morning I wake up in black skin I wear it proudly the badges and the scars I love every part because I know that there is a rich history of both up me downs that comes with it and it keeps me going when I go through my own up and downs it’s a reminder that it’s gonna be ok keep going. I guess it’s more than a proud feeling so to stop myself from rambling I would summarize to say being black feels motivational, powerful and proud.
