Who I Admire by Donte Gibbs

I admire myself dammit hahaha.

But no, I admire Blackness - the universal language spoken and unspoken, the culture, the food, the ingenuity, the essence.

I admire my city - the location, the resilience, the people, the pride (although stubborn at times, but who gone check us lol).

I admire young people - the determination, their creativity, their ability to mobilize instantly, their honesty. S/o to my mentees and lil brothers and sisters across the city.

I admire LeBron James, Jay-Z & Beyoncé, The Obamas, Chance The Rapper, and my friends ✊🏾.
